A Soulful Creative Day at the Galactic Studio

Come and spend a beautiful day immersed in creativity, connection and a little bit of magic at the Galactic Studio.
We’ll begin the day by setting an intention for your creation, followed by a guided meditation to help you connect with what you would like to bring into your artwork.
Then it’s time to get creative!
You’ll paint and decorate your very own totem pole, choosing your own colours, symbols, patterns and designs. You’ll also paint and embellish a beautiful little ceramic or wooden bird, which will be added to the top of your totem pole to complete your unique creation.
No artistic experience is needed — I’ll provide everything you need, show you what to do and be there to help with ideas, designs and inspiration along the way.
Once you book, you’ll also receive access to a Pinterest inspiration page filled with ideas to get your creative juices flowing before the day.

About Your Facilitator
I have many years of experience creating and facilitating meaningful artistic experiences. I have attended and led numerous retreats and workshops, and have taught art classes for both adults and children in Wellington for many years.
My approach is warm, encouraging and inclusive. I love helping people connect with their creativity in a relaxed, supportive environment, regardless of their previous artistic experience.

My Tuesday ART class is aimed at 10yrs +
My focus in the art sessions is about enjoying art and all that it encompasses. We will learn a little about different artists’ techniques and then we will be experimenting using these techniques on artistic projects, covering all aspects of creativity, not just painting/drawing but some craft and clay projects as well. I want kids to create at their own pace and enjoy different styles growing their confidence in their own abilities and styles rather than comparing their art. It’s about the process not about the end product. We play music and have lively discussions. This environment is great way for tweens and teens to gain confidence in their abilities as well as to gain an understanding of the process of artmaking and that its ok not to be the best but to enjoy the process of making art.
The art programme runs every Tuesday afternoon in the school Term from my ART studio in Paremata and includes all art materials. Art class starts on Tuesdays at 4pm to 5.30pm.
Includes all materials (Tuesday class uses slightly bigger canvasses at times which is the reason for the price difference) – a snack is provided in the form of a biscuit and/or an apple. I have space for 8 students in total at present on Tuesday.
